                         "Education is the Future."

   The Education Minister unveiled India's groundbreaking new Education Policy
  The New Education Policy 2020 aims to restructure both school and higher education in India. It is a landmark change from the existing education system in the country. 

A lot of things are promises including revamped course structures, multidisciplinary institutions, changes in exam structures, emphasis on vocational courses, and digitization of education. etc. 

The New National Education policy recommends, a highly regulated and poorly funded education model, said by Education Minister.

Its aim is at making "India a global knowledge superpower." The government will spend 6% of GDP on education.

The Stages of the Education system are:-

Children's education

    * Age  3 yr - 8 yr     Foundation Stage.
    * Age  8 yr -11 yr    Pre-primary Stage.
    * Age  11yr- 14 y    Preparatory Stage.
    * Age  14yr - 18yr  Secondary Stage.


Here are some positive aspects to consider for implementation of the National Education Policy

1. There is no language barrier
As out of 100 Tribal children only 20 reach high school so, accordingly, new students can study in regional language till the 5th standard.


2. Multidisciplinary education 
 Students get a broader choice of subjects. If a student is in the science stream and he is interested in a particular subject of arts so he can also do that it improves critical thinking creative things and communication and design sense and can work in proper planning.


3. Multiple entry and exit points.
Students can leave and continue their studies at multiple points To execute the complete plan the Academic bank of credit will be introduced.

4.Single Regulator
All colleges excluding legal and medical colleges will come under one body. i.e Higher education commission of India.


5. Vocational Education
Here children will not only concentrate only on education but also focus on skills. Likewise from the 6th onwards option of vocational subjects will come up like coding, pottery, art, etc. In simple, books and the learning part will be less and children will get practical knowledge.

6. 360 Holistic report cards for students
 There will be an account of skills and capabilities and there will be lowered emphasis on marks. Reports cards will include self-assessment by students in addition to existing teachers evaluation sheets.


7. Revamped board exams
There should be no burden on children so, accordingly, there can be an introduction of the
semester system or there can be possibilities of different types of exams so that children will focus on skills.


8. Digitalization
In this scenario, there will be online classes taken up, there can be many e-courses made available, in regional language in every rural area too.


9. Lok Vidya
Our culture, history should not be ignored, So accordingly there should be developed accordingly and try to make it more innovative.


10. Expansion of Education
By 2040, most institutions to be made multidisciplinary by 2030, every district to have at least one multidisciplinary institute. Gross enrollment ratio to be risen up to 50% by 2035.


11. Fees 
There will be an audit done every year accordingly.
 

       In order to reduce the importance and stress of board exams, the exam will be conducted in 2 parts:
OBJECTIVE AND DESCRIPTIVE, the exam will be conducted twice a year, Board exam should promote knowledge application rather than rote learning.
The undergraduate degree courses will be of either a 3 or 4-year duration with multiple exit options. A certificate courses after completing 1 year in a disciplinary or field including vocational and professional areas, or a diploma after 2 years of study, ora Bachelor's degree after a 3-year program. The 4-year multidisciplinary Bachelor's Programme, however, shall be the preferred option.
